Coach Presley spent the last 21 years in a variety of football coaching positions at Orange Lutheran High School with the last 5 seasons as the Varsity Head Football Coach. His teams finished consistently in the County top 10 and qualified for the playoffs each year. In 2019 he was named Head Coach for the North vs the South All Star Classic and earned a Coach Charter awarded from the Orange County Athletic Directors Association in 2020. He prides himself on running programs with deep foundations of character and integrity. His experience within the Trinity League has added enormous value to Esperanza Football and Coach JP is looking forward to even more success in the 2023-2024 season.

For over 25 seasons, I have traversed the halls of several prestigious high schools, expertly molding and shaping young minds into formidable football players. Through dedication, grit, and an ability to inspire, I tried to consistently raise the bar, transforming each team into a force to be reckoned with. The highlight of my coaching career came when, through sheer determination and strategic efforts, our Esperanza High School team got the resounding victory, capturing the highly coveted CIF championship in 2019. My strategy was to instill confidence and belief in our players. As a mentor, I have consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the holistic development of our players. Our emphasis on sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork has sowed the seeds of success both on and off the field, paving the way for our players' future triumphs in various walks of life. The perseverance to transform the lives of our youth is my passion in this sport.

I played for Esperanza from 2016-2020 being on the C.I.F. Championship team for the 2019-2020 season for my senior year being team captain that year playing left guard on the offensive line. I went on to play college football for 2 years at the D3 level at Aurora University in Illinois where I played offensive line winning a NACC championship ring. And this will be my second year of coaching at Esperanza.

Former 2 sport college athletes (a million years ago) football and lacrosse.  Previously coached at Kennedy HS (La Palma), Fountain Valley HS, Leuzinger (Lawndale) HS, Goldsboro  Bulldawgs NC Football club. 

This will be my second year working in Esperanza prior to this 20 years experience at Orange Lutheran High School.
